@Krondor2000: Early 1930’s saw some acceptance for gay people. The tide of opinion turned towards the end of the decade.
I did know (thanks to you) that there was growing acceptance at this time, but I must say I was a bit worried about Suzy. So this strip has made me quite happy ^_^
Unfortunately that acceptance didn’t last.
